Karlovy Vary
Karlovy Vary is beautifully situated in a deep, wooded valley of the Teplá River. The most famous of Czech spas was founded in 1358 by the Bohemian King and Holy Roman Emperor Charles IV. Twelve mineral springs with temperatures ranging from 42° C to 72° C (133° F to 187° F) flow here. The local thermal waters are used for oral treatments, bathing and rinsing. The natural healing springs are used in combination with most modern medical methods and techniques.
